About The Role:
The Assistant Accountant (Assets) provides practical and responsive accounting support across Financial Services, with a strong focus on maintaining accurate financial information and supporting key reporting, compliance and asset accounting activities. In this role, you will assist with month-end and year-end processes, statutory reporting, reconciliations, grant acquittals, audit preparation, cash flow forecasting and fixed asset register maintenance.
You will work closely with the Financial Controller and Operations Lead and other Financial Services colleagues to prepare schedules, working papers and supporting analysis, maintain data integrity, apply established controls and provide timely finance support to internal stakeholders. The Financial Services team are responsible for delivering an efficient and effective finance function for the organisation. Services include financial reporting, strategic management accounting, budgeting, long term financial planning and internal control.
The Detail:
The position is offered on a full-time, permanent basis and is classified at Level 4, with a starting salary of $94,868.69 per annum + Super + Annual Leave Loading.
